Brenda is a ‘solutions focused’ business and human resources strategist with 35 years of multi-faceted experience in operations, strategy development, talent management, leadership, change management and high-profile relationship management.

COACHING AND CONSULTING

Throughout her career as a senior leader in organizations of up to 100,000 employees, she has coached and mentored many business leaders to achieve career success.  Her consulting experience spans a broad range of organizations, sectors and sizes including large scale change and transition with public and private sector employers in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and California; education, industry, agriculture and oil and gas.  She has proven expertise in executive search, career guidance and transition, change management, employee engagement, leadership and board development, organizational effectiveness, performance management and succession planning. 

She has coached Boards, Senior Executives and business leaders through large scale change and transition.  She mentors new and emerging business leaders in their roles, encouraging constructive relationships, synergy and innovation as the foundation to their Her ability to build and maintain constructive relationships in individuals and teams at all levels, coupled with her senior leadership experience allows her to partner with executives and senior leaders to become enlightened and inspire their teams to become high

Brenda’s extensive knowledge and understanding of team dynamics and workforce issues along with her demonstrated skills in building and maintaining productive relationships is foundational to building HR programs and services that meet the diverse and unique needs of her clients.  She offers a combination of senior leadership experience, consulting practice and educational background that assists her in ‘inspiring’ senior leaders to build and maintain high performing teams.  Her specific expertise is in building and maintaining high performing teams during times of change and transition.  She is a leader in the design and development of many tools for planning, managing and evaluating people practices in organizations

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Brenda embraces lifelong learning as an opportunity to provide her clients with state of the art service.  She holds a B. Admin, MBA, Prosci Change Management Certification, Certified Human Resources and Certified Management Consultant & Certified Health Executive Professional Designations, along with many certifications in the fields of Return on Investment, ColourSpectrums™, Achieve Global, LEAN methodologies, health care and facilitation techniques.  She volunteers her time as Alberta Director for the Canadian College of Health Leaders, President of the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters, Director of PolicyWise, and Director for Red Deer Hospice Society.  In addition, she sits on a number of national committees and advisory panels regarding the development of common leadership competencies in public sector.  In 2015, Brenda received the Women of Excellence Award in Central Alberta for her work in Health, Wellness and Human Services in Alberta.
